Adult Maintenance Classes

Our classes are small groups of no more than six people to a class for maximum learning potential and we share the four modules out across two Saturday sessions. We provide all tools and equipment needed on the day and we focus on the most common types of bike architecture and components.

Day 1

9am – 12.30pm  – Module 1: Bike safety check and deep bike clean

1.30pm – 5pm  – Module 2: Wheels, tyres and punctures

Day 2

9am – 12.30pm – Module 3: Brakes and how to replace blocks and brake cables

1.30pm – 5pm – Module 4: Gears and how and when to adjust them

These four modules will give you the confidence and ability to care for and maintain your bike, help you identify faults that are more complex so you know when to seek help from a bike shop and keep you cycling.

Depending on your ability each module can be booked separately at £3 each or you can book all four modules for £10

You are encouraged to bring your own bike if possible to work on. If this is not possible for any reason, then we have a range of bikes of all shapes and sizes that can be used to work on during the sessions.
