In June we were excited to hear that Birmingham would take part in International Car Free Day on Sunday 22 September. Aston Expressway would be closed to cars for 1 mile with events and activities celebrating Car Free Day. Unfortunately, this event has now been postponed to next Spring. We still wanted to mark the day in some way.
Life Cyclers is a new project we are undertaking with Hall Green Health Together with funding from Heart Research UK and Subway®.
Last week saw the first of 3, free eight week courses across 2019 and 2020 aimed at over 40s who are looking to improve their health. Participants will discover off-road green routes in the South Birmingham area, gain confidence in riding a bike and meet new people.

Refill is a national campaign set up by City to Sea. It aims to reduce plastic pollution at source by making it easier for people to reuse and refill their bottles with free tap water while out and about. We are the local champion for the campaign. We are working with a number of partners
