Hallowe’en bike ride

Cycle South Brum are proud to announce our spooky Hallowe’en bike ride on Friday 27th October 2017.  There will be a short bike ride (all off-road) followed by horrific indoor Hallowe’en fun and games.  Please tell us about everyone who is coming with you, including children, goblins and witches.  PLEASE NOTE THAT LAST-MINUTE BOOKINGS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HIRE BIKES AND HELMETS as these are now fully booked.

We will pick up and drop off participants at Hollymoor Community Centre, 8 Manor Park Grove, Northfield, B31 5ER.

This ride is suitable for all the family and all people-powered transport is welcome including bikes, scooters, trailers, trikes.  All ages are welcome.  Bats, dragons, elves etc are also welcome.

Booking is essential on all our rides for health and safety purposes.  On all of our group rides, the pace will be gentle, we will go at the pace of the slowest rider and participants are free to stop and eat an eye of newt if they need to.

We will provide bike lights subject to availability.  If you can provide lights for your own bikes please do so.

You are encouraged to wear Hallowe’en fancy dress if you feel like it but please make sure it is safe to ride a bike in your costume.  Don’t wear long gowns that will catch in your bike chain.  Don’t wear masks that obscure your vision.  We encourage you to design your own costume if you can rather than buy throwaway plastic novelties.  Feel free to include reflective items and lighting in your costumes.  Fancy dress isn’t compulsory and normal clothes are welcome!

There will be prizes for the best costumes and in particular for people who manage to safely combine Hallowe’en headwear such as witches’ hats with a cycling helmet.
