A group bike ride from Northfield to Moseley Bog and back, with various pick-up points.
There will be Forest Schools activities organised at Moseley Bog. All ages are welcome. Participants can choose their pick-up point according to their ability.
The road is mostly off-road. There is a short section of road towards the end of the ride. If some participants want to walk this section, then we can accommodate by this by splitting into two groups, one walking on the pavement and one cycling on the road, meeting up again at a pre-arranged point.

We are planning to leave from Victoria Common, Northfield around 12.30pm. Timings for other pick-up points are approximate. We expect to get back to Victoria Common between 5.30pm and 6pm. There will be a short stop on the way at Christ Church, Yardley Wood, where flapjacks, tea and coffee and soft drinks will be available for a donation.
The pick-up points are:
Longbridge, Herbert Austin Park (feeder ride starting at 12pm); Victoria Common, Northfield; Victoria Common, Northfield; Masefield Community Garden, Northfield; Popes Lane; Kings Norton Park; Brandwood Park Road; Alcester Road South; Christ Church, School Road, Yardley Wood (refreshment stop); Trittiford Road; Sarehole Mill; Moseley Bog.
We will return the same way.
Booking is essential for health and safety purposes. The pace will be gentle and we will go at the pace of the slowest rider. There will be scheduled stops and you are welcome to stop for a rest if you need to. We strongly recommend that adults wear a helmet, and we politely request children to wear a helmet.
There will be toilet breaks at Christ Church, Yardley Wood and Sarehole Mill (visitor centre, which is open until 4pm daily at the time of writing).

This ride is a partnership between Cycle South Brum and Christ Church, Yardley Wood.
The ride is free to attend but donations are very welcome, you will be taken to our donations page at the end of the booking process.
There is car parking at the following pick-up points: Longbridge; Victoria Common; Masefield Community Garden; Kings Norton Park; Brandwood Park Road; Christ Church, Yardley Wood; Trittiford Road; Sarehole Mill; Moseley Bog. If you wish to join the ride at Popes Lane then there is no car parking nearby but you can park a short walk away further up Popes Lane to the south of the River Rea.
If the ride has to be cancelled due to bad weather, then we have 27th July as a reserve day.
