Cycle South Brum and Eco Kids are pleased to announce a new pond-dipping bike ride from Masefield Community Garden, Northfield, to Kings Norton Nature Reserve. Pickup points at Masefield Community Garden (Lindsey Avenue), Popes Lane, Wychall Lane. This ride is mostly off-road. If you join at the Popes Lane or Wychall Lane pick-up point, it is all off-road. It is suitable for all the family and all people-powered forms of transport, including bikes, scooters, trikes, balance bikes.
Booking is essential for health and safety purposes. The pace of the ride will be gentle and you are welcome to stop for a rest if necessary, we will make sure nobody gets left behind.
We have a limited number of children’s and adults bikes and helmets for free hire for the ride, subject to availability. You will be asked about bike and helmet hire when you book. We politely request that children wear a helmet, and strongly advise adults to wear a helmet.
If you have any pond-dipping equipment such as nets or jam jars then please feel free to bring them. We have some straps that can be used to attach things to adult bike frames. Don’t worry if you don’t have nets because we have some to share.
