Ride Active

Ride Active provides fun, social cycling practice activities in safe, secure environments in Northfield and surrounding areas.  Please click on the links below  to book your places.  Please arrive early, by 4.30pm if you want to borrow a bike as they are subject to availability.

Please note that the session on 17th August will be filmed as part of our forthcoming promotional video.  Don’t worry, we will only show good shots!

The meeting point is Victoria Common, Northfield.  All abilities welcome, including complete beginners.

Ride Active provides fun, social cycling practice activities, in safe, secure environments such as parks.

These one hour sessions allow you to practice and improve your skills, cycle in a group and meet other cyclists.

Activities include:

  • fun circuits
  • traffic free laps
  • activities to develop basic cycling skills
  • off-road led rides
  • social activities
  • short on-road led rides.

Ride Active sessions will incorporate a Led Ride which anyone who wants to improve their confidence or abilities is welcome to take part in.  Children must be accompanied by a cycling adult.  If you’re looking for children-only activities please look out for children’s cycling tuition and our school holiday led rides.


Can I borrow a bike?

We have a limited number of bikes and trailers for hire.  You will be able to reserve a bike when you book.  Bikes can be collected on the day.  If you have your own bike you are welcome to bring it.


We have  helmets to borrow for these events, subject to availability.  If you do not have a helmet and you would like to borrow one for the ride you are attending, you can indicate this when you book.  If you have your own helmet, you are welcome to bring it.

Is there a cost for attending? 

No, it is free, but you are welcome to make a donation online or in cash on the day.
